Tutorial for lingerie high key lighting setup in tiny store room
SmokingStrobes.com – Lke a high key lighting setup for posh lingerie photos? Hold back renting expensive big white studio downtown. You’ll get better results if you shoot’em in your tiny storage room. I’m not kidding. In this high key photography tutorial I’ll show you where to place your speedlights in a tiny white room — a high key lighting setup which is better than huge softboxes and it doesn’t cost a dime. Watch it and then try it out yourself. I wish you good light! — Michael from SmokingStrobes.com

Great video. I’ve decided to invest in more speedlights! Danke!

I just found your videos today. Now for me flash photography is just plain difficult. When shooting on set I prefer to use soft boxes for the constant lighting. I do however love your lighting ideas for this. With the equipment I use I would never consider such a small space to shoot. I do like your results.

Cousin Mike, I am an amateur photographer wanting to become a great photographer like yourself. I absolutely love your videos so please keep them coming. Anyway, i have some questions so here they go…

1. How do you determine flash power when setting up your speedlites?
2. Do you use the guide number system when setting up your speedlites.

Thanks again cousin!!!

Great tutorial. The diagram of the room and flash setup is very useful! I’m also wondering, what your camera (iso, f-stop, shutter speed) are set at? I know there’s an issue with sync speeds with the flashes but I don’t really understand it…

Man, you are like 100 times better then this ‘Mr.Strobist’ guy D.Hobby, you should make more aggressive marketing because if he is ‘Mr.’ then you are ‘Dr. Strobist’!!

Hi I have been asked to take some pictures of 3 children in a portrait shoot.
I have access to 2 speedlights and remote triggers as well as a popup background.

What would be the best arrangement for the speedlights?

Hope you can help me.

Great work again, M. Apparently you’re using a 24-70, yes? Canon ! From the looks of it. I shoot Nikon. I’d be interested to know, if you’re averaging your setup using a light meter. If so are you also using a specific mathematical equation or just pulling samples till you get what you want. Thanks.
