Portrait Photography Tips: When to Focus on the Eyes in Portraits and When it doesn't matter?
www.facebook.com www.PhotographersOnUTube.com I always talk about focusing on the eye when shooting portraits. In this video I explain why it’s important to focus on the eye, when should you focus on the eye and when it doesn’t make a difference. Photography Equipment used in this video. Camera Nikon D7000 Lenses Nikkor 50mm 1.8 G lens. 85mm 1.8 D lens. Tokina 16-28 f2.8 lens and Tamron 28-75 2.8 lens

i need your opinion..im planning to buy a walk around lens, but i would rather go to the third party lens and what would you recommend me? the Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 or the Tokina 28-70mm f2.8? i just checked the new Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 but i was surpriced with their pricing, my Camera is D90 and D300s..thank you!

That’s interesting. They’re soooo white! I’m always picky about that particular issue because there are so many bad photoshoppers out there that overproduce the images. Great videos, thanks for making them.

No, those 2 were unedited. In the first one the focus was on the eye and in the second was the focus was o the nose. I actually don’t even have photoshop or know how to use it. I use lightroom3 and now will switch to LR4 after the bugs are fixed.

On the pictures of your nephew, did you whiten his eyes on photoshop? They look overdone to me.

Not yet, brother. But come summer time there will be LOTS of night photography videos. I’d probably book a room in Atlantic city to do a few videos.

Great video jib! I am really learning a lot from your videos… Do you have video tips on Night Photography?

PhotographersOnUTube

There is no other way. One of the BIGGEST reason why I chose Nikon over Canon knowing that Nikon lenses cost more is because I knew with Nikon I’d have full freedom over placing my focal points where ever I want in a second. A lot of Canon uses recompose which is something I do not recommend specially on big apertures. I was lucky that I had used both Nikon and Canon before I made my decision to go with Nikon.

Nice Vids!

Very helpful…..Looking forward to the group shots video……

boykulot09

quick question.. what about canon dslr’s.. they have a limited focal points.. and not that adjustable unlike nikon. i just want to know, how to compensate this.. without sacrificing my framing..
