A behind the scenes look with food photography studio Beaugureau Studios. This video shows a few steps in which we took to create the final Guinness Shot. We are NOT showing how to create “the perfect Guinness pour” in 1 pour, but how we created the perfect pour for a Guinness Advertisement. Commercial, Advertising photographer Brian Beaugureau is seen working with the pint glass, pouring and adding different things to produce the perfect amount of head on the Guinness.
The final shot that we advertise, is 100% natural froth from the guinness bottle. But earlier on you see us putting a pinch of salt into the beer, which makes it foam up.
Qué fue lo que uso para crear la espuma y burbujas? Por favor respóndanme, necesito saber.
(What did you use to create the foam and bubbles? Please answer me, I need to know.)
I hate dislikers. Wish youtube had only a like button like facebook. Who cares about the dislikers!
Starting to love photography… Thank you!
So Speelights?
Nice Video B. Hope things are going good for you.

For most beverage shots, we use high speed strobes with really fast durations. But this particular shot didn’t call for that type of set up. We used Speedotron heads and power packs for this shot, with a few different modifiers.
Beautiful shot. I liked the set up, but what lighting did you use?
really nice video.. loved the music and the insight
a pinch of salt. As you can see a little bit goes a long ways.
What did you drop in for the froth to come up? Great vid by the way.
Great video! I love Guinness, and watching you pour this made me cringe a little bit. But I understand that for the photo is TOTALLY different than Guinness to server. Beautiful photo.

Is table salt? (salt to eat?) I tried but I failed: (
