I’m pretty sure I just watched an almost 4 minute long advertisement for a camera I have no interest in touching. The advice here was mediocre at best. FYI, the “blurred background” (aka bokeh) is NOT a result of the camera, but as a result of the lens. A shitty lens will yield terrible bokeh on any camera, and a great lens will yield great bokeh on any camera.

I can’t believe I got sucked into nearly watching another Nigel advert where 90% is product promotion and the rest is vague and fast tips. Nigel could be a YouTube sensation for teaching. Stop this brand shite and help me learn. You’re a great photographer. I would love to hear your professional advice without all the product placements.

Thanks Nick! Nigel is using a Sony Alpha NEX-5. He’s also using a 18-55mm lens and a 16mm f/2.8 wide-angle lens.

I went to the Sony website and typed down… “interchangeable lens camera”
-This is what I found.
α NEX-5 with 18-55mm Lens
and
α NEX-3 with 16mm Lens

Nigel’s kids are so adorable!!! He’s right about moving around your kids to get that shot you want. However, everybody can’t afford the camera he’s using! I think he may be using a Canon.
