Mason Foster, a photographer based in San Francisco, announced today the launch of his redesigned website. Foster is an expert on choosing wedding photographers and a testimonial page at the site attests to the quality of his services and affordability.
To engaged couples, a wedding photographer is almost an afterthought during the chaos of planning for a wedding. When searching for the photographer who will record every detail of the big day, Foster offers his website, in particular the page that details choosing a wedding photographer.
After a couple works out a budget for a photographer, Foster advises they explore the candidates that have professional credits, view their website or blog and choose a few to meet face to face. A potential photographer’s website should give a couple insights into the photographer’s work and particular style. Foster calls it a photographer’s “voice.” From conventional to documentary style wedding photography, the engaged couple has many choices.
Foster’s discussion of the dos and don’ts of hiring a wedding photographer is intended to be a valuable aid to the couple looking forward to their marriage day, the “big day” as Foster calls it.
It is clear that Foster’s website is an improvement on many websites on the Internet. It is a clean, straightforward communication of his services with plenty of room for expansion. The site includes a Bio page, Testimonial page, Packages page and a blog page where visitors can read an article on how to choose a wedding photographer. By creating a clear and simple opening page, Foster’s photography tips can be discovered effortlessly and there is no doubt in the viewer’s mind that this website is about photography.
It’s also easy to navigate. It is easy to see the list of options available. Foster has information to display and he has found the best strategy to communicate it. All of the options are on each page in the margin and viewers don’t have search for drop down menus. Despite having all the information on one page, the website doesn’t overwhelm the viewer.
Engaged couples will find Foster’s photography affordable and of high quality and that will be the deciding factors when they choose Wedding Photographer San Francisco for their wedding day. When reading Foster’s blog on choosing a wedding photographer, couples discover a photographer with a grasp of style and order. He shows concern for his subjects and shows a photographer’s knack for getting much of the work done before the big day. He understands classic wedding photography as well as impressionistic.

Looking for a San Francisco event space to host a holiday party this season? Froomz.com is the Bay Areas top resource for navigating through the vast array of venue locations according to budget, party size, desired accommodations and taste. Froomz boasts some of the Bay Areas more non-traditional and unique event spaces from boutiques, art galleries and museums as well as banquet halls and conference rooms.
How about wine-tasting, ballroom dance workshops, beers & billiards, cheese making or a karaoke-thon to take the place of the typical office party or family gathering? ,said VP of Marketing at Froomz, Christina Dunham. Froomz has all of this and more at your fingertips. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination.
Froomz.com has a direct, opt-in relationship with each venue listed on its site. This enables Froomz to keep all listings in real time and complete with accurate up-to-date information. Venue accommodations and availability are subject to change by the hour. Froomz doesnt simply scrape information from venue websites, they work with the venue to create the most productive environment for seeking out and booking the appropriate event space.
For those on a tight budget, Froomz recommends mid-week cocktail parties at funky art galleries versus lavish sit-down dinners. For those that prefer more traditional four-course celebrations, many event venues offer weekday discounts , a free case of wine or complimentary hot cocoa and dessert when booking under certain circumstances. It pays to shop around for the most ideal holiday party venue.
Yan Heim, CEO of Froomz adds, There are also several venues that are throwing public parties like Wine Maker Dinners, Wednesday Night Mixers or Jazz Nights with live bands, starting at only $ 10 per guest. If you have a small group, how about purchasing a block of tickets to the event and leaving the planning and logistics to someone else?
One of Froomz recommended events this season is a holiday trunk show on Saturday, December 1 at Appleblom Jewelry featuring Rhoma Young Antiques. Delectable appetizers and cocktails will be served and guests are urged to take advantage of exclusive price reductions and raffles, unique to this event alone. This event is free and open to the public but is limited to the first 60 registered guests. Find out more information and register for the event here.
Froomz.com saves event planners days of work by streamlining venue information all in one place from date and time availability, locale, food and drink options, to pre-party set-up and cleanup afterwards. San Francisco professional photographer Michael Soo reveals tips and tricks on how to present products in a professional and desirable way. These pointers may prove helpful for businesses looking for new ways to market their products.
People are largely visual creatures and an inviting image is imperative to marketing your product, said Michael Soo. Whether its for electronics, food, clothing or jewelry, there are a few simple rules that anyone can use to make those product images pop.
Soo typically places products in an all-white background for a variety of purposes. He explains in further detail as to why white backgrounds can be so affective on consumers.
A white background has a happier look compared to black dreary background.
A white background offers a clean and sophisticated look.
The lack of color aside from the product itself draws the attention to the product instead of distractions.
The white backdrop look is also easier on the eyes and offers consistency throughout websites or catalogs
Another route is a white backdrop accompanied with a slight reflection of the product at the bottom. This offers a sleek and polished look that is highly sought after.
A white background is a simple and effective way to quickly bring a photo of a product to a distinctly professional level. Michael Soo shares even more tips to make product photos
Lighting – possibly the most important part of lighting is that reflective products
such as bottles of wine and sleekly designed electronics need to be lighted in a controlled environment, as to showcase the shape of the product.
Most of these are achieved using studio lights that are three to ten times the size of the products. That way, the light will wrap around the item, showcasing the lines instead of distracting the view.
A silhouette also reduces the distraction on what the models look like and let the viewer focuses on the product itself.
Lenses to use are just as important. We normally use a tilt-shift specialty
lens for products to ensure that proper areas are in focus while areas that
we don’t need to focus on, will fall out of focus.
Michael Soo specializes in product photography to be used in marketing campaigns, websites, catalogues, flyers, posters or however the client deems appropriate.

San Francisco food photographer Michael Soo always has is finger on the pulse of whats hot now. He knows the days that foodies looked down their noses at food trucks are gone for good which is why he was so eager to work with the most buzzed about specialty food trucks in the South Bay.
Ive photographed thousands of dishes during my 8 years as a food photographer, but this last photo shoot with Le Bon de Cuisine was a special one, said Michael Soo. The owner of the food truck and soon-to-be restaurant is so young, but he makes amazing food with such a worldly flair.
Le Bon de Cuisine is the Moveable Feast mobile palate pleaser brought to the Bay Area cities of San Jose, San Francisco and Palo Alto by owner and executive chef Jeffrey Nguyen, a 20-year-old classically trained culinary mastermind.
With the opening of Le Bon de Cuisines permanent residence in San Jose just a month away, Nguyen called on the professional photography services of Michael Soo to deliver delicious images to the front page of the restaurants website, menu and marketing materials. Le Bon is located at 5592 Santa Teresa Blvd. in San Jose.
Food stylist Randy Mon helped Soo create a classic, simple and elegant theme for the photographs, with sleek white linen tablecloths and bright backgrounds to complement the style of the restaurant.
After choosing one simple, yet stand-out element of each dish, Soo snapped away at scrumptious dishes like a juicy 1/3-pound cheeseburger nestled atop caramelized onions, savory garlic noodles complete with sautéed shrimp, and a Vietnamese-style pork belly sandwich filled with Asian sauerkraut and wrapped in a soft and crunchy bahn mi.
Nguyens inspiration for his dishes stems from his time as a student at The French Culinary Institute of San Jose (formerly the Professional Culinary Institute), where he won a culinary competition at the young age of 17 years old that helped fund his cuisine dream.

San Francisco wedding photographer Michael Soo says love is in the air this summer and flying to an intimate destination makes for a focused wedding that turns out some of the best wedding photos. For those considering a destination wedding, Soo offers five reasons why he thinks theyre picture perfect.
#1: Destination weddings offer a more intimate and memorable experience.
Many couples feel obligated to invite every acquaintance, co-worker and extended family member when planning a local wedding. With a destination wedding, newlyweds can spend precious time with the ones that mean the most, rather than worrying about keeping everyone happy. This environment lends itself to a stress-free day and beautiful destination wedding photography.
#2: Destination weddings provide limited distractions.
The tone of destination weddings varies immensely from the rest. Guests are completely immersed by the beauty of the exotic and naturally beautiful settings and are much less likely to be occupied by lifes distractions like email and cell phones. Everyone is focused on the event at handthe love that two people share and the life that they are beginning together. When everyone is living in the moment, its easy to capture the emotions and feelings that are being shared.
#3: Destination weddings can actually be cheaper than local weddings.
As strange as it may seem, couples are gravitating towards destination weddings more this year to save money. There are much fewer guests to pay for, details to pay attention to, and overall, less of a financial burden on the couple. Less thinking about money means more thinking about this incredible moment in the couples life and that always turns out in photos.
#4: Destination weddings can be better for long distance guests.
Many couples have frustrated themselves to no end attempting to settle on the perfect place for their wedding to suit everyone. The wedding party and guests usually end up having to fly in from out of town anyway, so why not travel to an exotic location? As a long distance guest myself, I am able to offer assurance, security and credibility that local photographers of the selected destination may not, as well as be more available after the wedding for questions regarding how soon the packages will be available and any last minute changes.
#5: Destination weddings allow a naturally beautiful setting to take the place of overdone decorations.
Less is definitely more for destination weddings. There is no need for bedazzled vases, expensive drapery and thousands of floral arrangements because nature will trump all of that, while providing a perfect backdrop for pictures that cant be imitated. We have travelled to cover weddings in exciting destinations such as Hawaii, Rome, Paris, London, Cancun, St Barth, St Maarten, and even on cruises these locations have resulted in some of the most breathtaking wedding photos that the couple will love for years to come.
For more information about wedding photography or cinematography visit Soos blog Capture the Love (http://www.capturethelove.com/destination-wedding) dedicated to this very service. For any of Soo Photographys services, call Michael Soo at (408) 666-8455 or visit http://www.soophotography.com.
